Enhance Your Shower With Tile

Bathtubs and showers are the most significant fixtures in a bathroom. While you may be tempted to stick with the basics, upgrading to a spa-like bathtub or glass-enclosed shower with multiple shower heads is a sure way to make a big impact. To maximize the impression they make, surround them with exceptional and functional tile.

You can take a monochromatic approach by using just one style and color. It’s a classic style that is somewhat timeless (depending on the color of the tile!) It will make the space feel big and open, and it serves as a simple backdrop against which a spectacular bathtub or shower could be the point of emphasis.

Another approach is to mix and match tiles so that they are the focal point. For example, you might use a solid color tile throughout 70% of the bathroom, and use a contrasting designer tile in 30% of the room. If so, experiment with ideas for using the designer tile around the perimeter of the tub, or as an accent wall in the shower.

One note of caution, if you plan to sell your house within the next few years, we recommend keeping this in mind when selecting tile. It’s possible that a potential buyer might not love a bold tile design as much as you.
