  • Glazed wall tile should be cleaned with nothing more than a sponge soaked with a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Never use abrasive steel wool or abrasive cleaners as these will scratch the surface.
  • Glazed and unglazed ceramic and porcelain tile should be cleaned with a damp sponge and a neutral pH cleaner. We recommend Aqua Mix for this as it is non-hazardous and non-polluting.
  • Glass, resin, or metal tiles require only a light mopping or dusting with a damp sponge or cloth. You should never use acids, bleaches, or ammonia to clean these surfaces.

Ceramic tile sealing can help protect the grout. Because every tile and home is different, it’s a good idea to ask our contractors whether they recommend sealing your tile.
