Technical Tips

AQUA MIX provides these tips for customers looking to remove excess sealer residue after applying one of their penetrating-type sealers on stone or tile:

Penetrating Sealer and Sealer's Choice Gold
First 1-24 hours: Water and white nylon scrub pad on smooth surfaces; nylon or natural bristle scrub brush on textured surfaces. Wet small test area and scrub to determine results.

After 24 hours: Wet test area with water; sprinkle small amount of household baking soda or AQUA MIX Poultice on wetted area and scrub with white nylon pad on smooth surfaces. For textured surfaces, use nylon or natural bristle brush. Follow with clean water rinse.

Always do small test area first to determine desired results.

Pro-Solv 10 and Ultra Solv
First 1-24 hours: Dampen white towel with fresh Pro-Solv or Ultra Solv and rub into surface to re-emulsify surface residue. Follow immediately by polishing surface dry with clean, dry white paper or cotton towels. Start with small test area to determine desired results.

After 24 hours: Wet surface with water. Apply small amount of AQUA MIX Poultice to wet surface, scrub with white nylon scrub pad for smooth surfaces and nylon or natural bristle scrub brush for textured surfaces. Always do a small test area first to determine desired results.

Grout Sealer
First 1-24 hours: Use additional Grout Sealer to dampen affected area. Rub new product directly onto areas affected with semi-cured residue. Immediately polish dry with dry, absorbent cotton or paper towels. Always do a small test area to determine desired results.

After 24 hours: wet surface on small manageable area with water. Sprinkle small amount of household baking soda or AQUA MIX Poultice directly onto wet area. Scrub with white nylon pad (smooth surfaces) or nylon or natural bristle brush on textured surfaces. Rinse well with clean water. Do a small test area first to determine desired results.
